KASEMPA Town Council, Kamakechi Ward Councillor Morgan Mabamba has resigned from the UPND.
Mr Mabamba said he has resigned from the UPND because it had failed to deliver any development to the people of Kamakechi Ward.
He cited one of the main reasons for failure of delivering development as being in the opposition UPND.
This is according to a resignation letter which was addressed to the Council Chairman Stanley Kaindu.
However, Mr Mabamba thanked the UPND for having given him an opportunity to serve the people of Kamakechi.
And Kasempa Town Council Secretary, Tryson Chunga said he would formally inform the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) concerning the issue.
