Central region chiefs extol Lungu

TRADITIONAL leaders in Central Province have paid glowing tribute to President Edgar Lungu for his good leadership qualities and have pledged to support his Government. Speaking on behalf of other chiefs, Chief Chamuka of the Lenje-speaking people of Chisamba District said President Lungu has managed to unite Zambians. ZANIS reports that Chief Chamuka, who was accompnied by Chief Liteta, said this when President Lungu paid a courtesy call on them prior to the launch of the crop planting for the 2016-2017 farming season in Chisamba on Saturday. Chief Chamuka said the chiefs were particularly happy that President Lungu had shown strong leadership in driving the agricultural diversification agenda. And President Lungu assured the traditional leaders that the country would not be divided by tribalism.
