PROVIDE evidence that PF cadres are hacking your members by reporting them to police rather than using social media to propagate unnecessary tension, Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba has told the UPND leadership.
Mr. Kamba said politics of peddling propaganda against each other could not work in Zambia.
He advised UPND to sober up and realise that there were important national issues which needed their input and not the petty lies they were peddling.
Commenting on claims by the UPND that the PF had been attacking its members indiscriminately, Mr Kamba said it was wrong for the UPND to continue playing the victim over political violence when it was the same party that was the architect of all the attacks on PF members.
He said PF did not condone violence and would never protect any of its members who engaged in such activities.
Mr. Kamba challenged the UPND to report whoever was attacking its members to the police.
“We have not forgotten what happened in Chilanga two weeks ago where the UPND attacked innocent people after their rally, We have been at the receiving end of their violence but as usual, they are playing the victim to attract sympathy but this strategy will not work because people now know them,” Mr. Kamba said
He appealed to the UPND leadership to help heal the country from the tension that had befallen it by practicing mature politics devoid of malice.
“We have had enough of unnecessary politicking even on issues that do not make sense. I think Zambians now want progress, peace and unity to reign and it is only us the political players who can help the country heal and move forward by practicing responsible politics based on issues and not lies,” Mr. Kamba said.
