By Bennie Mundando

IT is lack of patriotism and a show of political prostitution for Chishimba Kambwili to continue plotting the PF’s downfall on the Copperbelt yet he has gone to court to protect his seat which he won under the same party, PF founder member Mubanga Chileshe has charged.

Commenting on the partnership between Mwenya Musenge and Mr. Kambwili in their schemes to bring down the PF on the Copperbelt, Mr. Chileshe said it was an insult for the two to claim they were carrying the legacy of the party’s founder Michael Sata when what they were doing was the opposite of what the late president stood for.

He wondered why Mr. Kambwili was still holding on to the Roan parliamentary seat after being expelled when he was claiming that he had popular support on the ground.

Mr Chileshe also questioned why Mr Kambwili was reluctant to form his own political party to prove his purported strength against the ruling party.

He said Mr. Sata himself  never tolerated truant behaviour and valued discipline, peace, and unity more than any other party member during his time, adding that for Mr. Kambwili to equate himself to Mr Sata was an insult to his legacy.

He advised Mr. Kambwili to withdraw the court case and leave the PF alone if he thought he was as strong as he claimed.

Mr Chileshe said that it did not make sense that while he was telling Zambians to vote out the PF, he was still holding on the seat he won under the same party.

“Mr. Kambwili is cheating himself that he is popular yet he is playing double standards by going around the country decampaigning the same party which he says he is patriotic about. What sense is there in doing so? The truth is that the writing is on the wall. Mr. Kambwili is not a PF member even if he has rushed to court,

“Mr Kambwili says he is popular but why is he not forming a party which will compete against the PF? Why is he hiding in the name of the PF yet he is fighting the same party? Those two are not going anywhere because they are failures and this is why they want to stick around the PF because they have realised they cannot do anything without their party,” Mr. Chileshe said.

He said the expulsion of Mr. Kambwili and Mr. Musenge was good riddance for the PF as it would bring more people whom the two were blocking because of their truant behaviour.

“The expulsion of Mr. Kambwili and Mr. Musenge from PF is good riddance. Their absence in the party is a blessing because more people will now join because they are no longer there. Those two were blocking many people from joining PF.  The PF is better off without these two men,” Mr Chileshe said.
