Kaziya dismissal long overdue

Dear Editor,

I wish to thank President Edgar Lungu for cracking the whip on Matero lawmaker and former Minister of Sanitation, Environment and Water Development, Lloyd Mulenga Kaziya.

His dismissal, as far as I am concerned, is long overdue and I saw it coming.

President Lungu recently sounded a warning during his official tour of duty of the Copperbelt Province that he would fire lazy cabinet ministers and members of Parliament.

The former minister’s performance was not satisfactory let alone his contribution to Matero constitution insofar as development projects are concerned.

This is one lawmaker who rarely visited his constituency purporting that he was always busy with ministerial duties.

Worse yet, he paid a deaf ear to the cries of the electorate in his constituency.

I had an altercation or rather argument with him over his failure to visit and ultimately develop his constituency.

This argument compelled me to write several articles in the local newspapers requesting the Head of State to consider firing him because of his incompetence.

Mr. Kaziya was not a saleable candidate and won his parliamentary seat by the name of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) party.

His dismissal is a warning to other lazy ministers who are not performing accordingly.

Indeed Mr. Kaziya’s sacking is therefore most welcome and good riddance of an incompetent leader.

Provocative empty opposition

Dear Editor,

The one characteristic of our opposition is their myopic, provocative and empty rantings which make no sense apart from annoying normal thinking people.

You have Kambwili who is preaching impeachment because of an innocuous Bemba saying used by the President. What kind of nonsense is this and why should the Zambian people tolerate it?

You have another opposition leader who believes that his votes were stolen and yet he can clearly see that he has a very sectional tribal vote which is neither inclusive nor representative of the majority of the Zambian people.

But more importantly, he insist that his case is still in court when the highest court in the land, the Constitutional Court dismissed their action for their own procrastination.

This kind of opposition will not take the country anywhere and the sooner Zambians realise the  emptiness of character and bareness of  ideology that resides in these men and women who are aspiring for higher office in the country the better.

The time for politicking is over. This is time for development. Our people are not looking for cheap speeches but concrete movement to repair and build on the gains that the country has made since independence.

The government must remain focussed and not p-ay attention to the vile and repulsive language of such characters as Chishimba Kambwili who will never admit their failure to reason logically. He believes that stoning people is the best form of dialogue.

The Bembas have a saying that pa nsaka tapabula ichipuba.

Looks like ECL is preparing for 2021

Dear Editor,

There you go! Six months ago I said Dora Siliya should go to information and broadcasting!

And I was insulted, the insults are still on record.

I mentioned, a degree gives you the right to knock on the door and not to enter. My sentiments have been vindicated!

Looks like ECL is preparing for 2021… this is gear 6.

Mark my words again, there is going to be so much development in Zambia to such an extent that Hakainde Hichilema of the UPND will be frowned upon when he gives an alternative.

I also give HH and the opposition a thumbs up though. What they are saying has actually arm-twisted ECL to start acting. NSCS

Insulting leaders a big shame to Zambia

Dear Editor,

CRIMINALS and those who shield them must be caged together. He who harbours a criminal is worse than the criminal himself.

We condemn criminality and illegality in those who wish to rule Zambia at one time or the other.

We must start abandoning such leaders because they are criminals and entrusting power in them can spell doom for Zambia.

Look how selfish these leaders are, who never think for the betterment of the nation.

But just themselves by destroying other names through mad people and drug addicts.

Your insults and abusive language will cost you dearly through defections.

What you need to know about Valentine’s Day

Dear Editor,

VALENTINE’S Day is a day that carries a curse rather than blessings?

Its foundation was laid through the Satanism spirit of both Nimrod and his wife Semiramis, the founders of Babylon which Rev. 18:2 describes as, “a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit.”

While Semiramis was worshipped as the Moon goddess/Queen of Heaven, Isis, or Mother Earth goddess, Nimrod was worshipped as: Sun-god, Osiris, Lupercus, Baal or underground god.

Their worship was firmly grounded on sexual activities. The Romans took Nimrod’s name Lupercus as the god whom they treated as the god of erotic love and had set February 14 to be a holiday whereby all activities in the nation focused on sexual orientation.

It was a holiday of love. They also combined this with the sexual worship of the other god of love called Juno Februata and from whom the month of February was named.

The worship of Lupercus was referred to as Lupercalia. The day was treated as one where everybody had a sexual licence in honour of Lupercus, the god of fertility.

In 496 AD Pope Gelasius “Christianised this day in honour of Saint Valentine and therefore called it “St. Valentine’s Day.”

Valentine was executed by Emperor Claudius on February 14 in 3rd century AD.

Pope Gelasius treated this saint as the patron saint of lovers and had the heart shape used for Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Note that Baal in Babylonian language meant “heart”. This is where the Valentine heart symbol originated.

Red roses were the favourite flower of the goddess Venus, which was as well treated as another symbol of Valentine’s Day. Flower giving to lovers was highly esteemed.

Red was taken as the colour that signifies strong sexual feelings on Valentine’s Day.

This then means that in whatever way one would celebrate Valentine’s Day even simply saying, “Happy Valentine’s Day” or wearing red clothes in honour of Valentine’s Day, one has automatically engaged himself/herself in the worship of Lupercus, Juno Februata, Baal, and Mother Earth god.
