POWER Dynamos striker Alex Ng’onga has again been named in the final 23- member Chipopolopolo squad that will face South Africa in the final round return leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier this Saturday.

The Chipolopolo host Bafana Bafana at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, and a draw will be enough to book Zambia a place in the CHAN finals in Kenya next year.

Zambia came from behind to draw 2-2 against South Africa in the first leg last Saturday.

Ng’onga  who last week failed to appear for national team training as he was reportedly attending to his traditional marriage rite (Chilanga Mulilo), has again being given a chance to prove himself in the return leg. Nyirenda has also called Nkana goal keeper Kelvin Malunga to the squad.

He has maintained the squad that travelled to East London with Justin Shonga, Martin Phiri, Alex N’gonga and Mundia Lubinda making the strikers list.

The team resumes training this morning in Ndola.

Meanwhile, South African coach Stuart Baxter is confident his side can cause an upset in the return leg. Baxter, who is scheduled to name the final squad tomorrow said Zambia will have a tough game as South Africa will not back out that easily.

“We were unlucky here that Zambia had to come from behind and spoil our near victory. The boys will have to lick their wounds, sharpen their swords, fasten their seatbelts and go to Zambia and get a result – and that is not impossible. I am confident Zambia will have a tough game and they know it,” he said.

Goalkeepers:

Chibwe Allan (Power Dynamos), Toaster Nsabata (Zanaco) Kelvin Malunga (Nkana).

Defenders:

Shamujompa Isaac (Power Dynamos), Donashano Malama (Nkana) Fackson Kapumbu (Zesco) Boston Muchindu (Nkana), Ziyo Tembo (Zanaco), Adrian Chama (Green Buffaloes), Moses Nyondo (Nkana), Webster Mulenga (Red Arrows)

Midfielders:

Ngwenya Godfrey (Power Dynamos), Jack Chirwa (Green Buffaloes), Sikombe Collins(NAPSA), Augustine Mulenga (Zanaco), Mike Katiba (Green Buffaloes), John Ching’andu (Zesco), Mwila Phiri (Green Eagles), Ernest Mbewe (Zanaco),

Strikers:

Shonga Justin (Nkwazi), Martin Phiri (Power Dynamos), Alex N’gonga (Power Dynamos), Mundia Lubinda (Red Arrows)
