Nkana Football Club supporters have called on the team’s fans throughout Zambia to give new coach Beston ‘Quick Silver’ Chambeshi a chance to do his job.
Nkana supporters club secretary Pastor Davies Kasengele said losing his first game as in charge of Kalampa boys against, Power Dynamos at home turf, did not mean that Chambeshi had failed the team.
Kasengele said Chambeshi knew well that the Kalampa boys because he had coached them.
“And so he is aware of how the Nkana fans react to a loss in any competitive match,” said Kasengele
He said Chambeshi was a well-respected coach on the African continent and beyond because of what he had achieved with the under-20 Junior Chipolopolo side, who were the current U-20 Cosafa Castle Cup, Champions, U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Champions and quarter-finalists at the just ended U-20 World Cup tournament in South Korea.
Kasengele said with that rich experience Chambeshi has in coaching, he will transform the Kalampa boys soon into a winning side in the elite FAZ/MTN super Division league.
He said the fans should support Chambeshi and his assistant the former Green Eagles coach Manfred Chabinga if the team was to deliver positive results this season.
Kasengele said the local derby against Power Dynamos had always been difficult because the result of any game played between the two sides can go either way.
He said Chambeshi was a seasoned coach who would bring back the smiles to the Kalampa fans because the man was hungry for success.
Kasengele said Nkana was a team to reckon with in Zambia and Chambeshi was more than determined to claim the thirteenth title this year.
