Solwezi District Commissioner (DC) Rosemary Kamalonga has warned that any government department in the district that will not be updating her office will be cited for working against government.
Addressing heads of government departments in the district yesterday, Ms Kamalonga said the office of the DC acted as eyes of the President hence the need to be updated on every activity that was taking place in all the departments in the district.
‘’we are the eyes of the President as district administration, therefore we have to be updated on all the activities that are taking place in the district so that we inform the general public correctly,’’ Ms Kamalonga said.
She urged district heads of government departments to work closely with her office to ensure they move at the same pace.
Ms. Kamalonga said there were numerous activities that government was undertaking in the district that should be relayed to the people.
She said all civil servants should be in support of the government of the day by interpreting its policies.
Ms Kamalonga also strongly warned civil servants against late coming and laziness saying such bad attitudes towards work would not be tolerated.
‘’Late coming and knocking off early is another thorn in the fresh. However, whoever will be found wanting will not be spared,’’ she warned.
