Why do Zambian security wings tolerant of mischief?

 Dear Editor,

Why are the security wings in Zambia so tolerant to mischief? Look at the behavior of the people opposed to the Republican president? People like that man with uncombed hair and a beard on Prime TV. That man can literally say anything about the President and the IG remains mute. This situation is worrying.

ECL should clean the entire police force

Editor,

The President should clean the entire Police command and replace the officers in charge of protecting him. They acted so unprofessional. It’s like they don’t understand what it means to protect and safeguard the life of the Head of State. Seriously, how can those officers –be seated in the cars while the window of the vehicle carrying the Head of State is open. What if UPND cadres threw something into the car? Why didn’t the officers come out of the cars and guard the Presidential vehicle when it was passing the UPND entourage. They should pull up their socks.

Worried and concerned citizen

Our president is a man of faith

Editor,

The Government of Edgar Lungu has a lot of faith in God and this was why it was seeking God’s guidance whenever the country was going through difficult times. The other year, we had poor rain, we prayed for rains at the Show Grounds and this year we received good rains. I am challenging the Church to be action oriented and that we work in collaboration with the Government of the day in eliminating poverty in our country Zambia.

God bless Zambia.

Khondies, Lusaka

HH and GBM must  be caged

Editor,

With sadness in my heart, I would like to advise the police force to do their job on Hakainde Hichilema and Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba who think they are above the law. Thank you so much to President Mr. Lungu for being a person who reads the Bible and also that he doesn’t know what the word revenge means. But you are a President who knows the rights of the people.

Chisoni Tembo, Chadiza

Let HH be charged with treason

Editor,

Kindly convey this urgent message to Zambians. Please let that criminal  be charged with treason and quickly taken to hell on earth for security purposes. If the police does their job then I’m sure maximum prison may still accommodate such criminals.

Law abiding citizen, Chris

Tribalism a legacy in UPND

Editor,

Only a Tonga can succeed a Tonga. This is the UPND motto. Sakwiba Sikota was thrown out of the convention like a stone. His followers nearly killed. In Parliament Inonge Wina is called your honor, recognized as a Vice President by UPND. Only President Lungu cannot be recognized because he is not their tribal cousin. The tribal tag goes with the UPND wherever they go.

Where has Chief Chikanta been?

Editor,

I hear the Chief of Chikanta of Monze in Southern province is urging the Government to release his subject, HH who is facing a treason charge over the Kuomboka fracas. Where was this Chief when all along HH’s actions had been treasonable in nature? What counsel did this chief give to HH if any? Not that, long at last, his subject is in deep water, he comes out condemning Governments action. What would have this Chief done had anyone been killed, let alone the Republican President?  SK Chishimba, Mufulira

Payback time for UPND

Editor,

It simply follows that all those who break the law must pay the price. There is nothing special about HH or UPND to start breaking the law with impunity and expect to get nothing in return. Nobody is above the law of this land. What happened in Mongu is totally insupportable. Those thugs meant to do harm to President Lungu and it is payback time. I am happy it has gone that way.  Citizen
