SA should remove the log in its eye first

Editor,

When Kaunda was arrested by the Chiluba regime, there was a lot of diplomacy by foreign leaders. Late Nyerere was allowed to visit KK at Mukobeko before meeting Chiluba. This diplomacy culminated in placing KK under house arrest. Maimane is not Rambo who can rudely and mischievously enter our country, carry out his mission and leave triumphantly. South Africa has more troubles than Zambia. What with their VEEP saying S/A is on the verge of becoming a mafia state. Give us a break and remove that log in your eye. No wonder Guy Scott once said you are backward.

Sampa, Kitwe

Directed to MultiChoice

Editor,

I write to the management of MultiChoice to consider allowing people to be picking channels of their own choice than impose some channels which are never watched e.g. some people pay specifically for football. Why give them channels in unknown languages. Give people the prices for each channel, no matter how expensive. Please spare your customers.

A commendation to the police and immigration office

Editor,

I would like to commend the Immigration and the Police for a job well done in sending back that notorious South African opposition leader who came to visit his fellow opposition leader, HH. Zambia is governed by law and order. That Xenophobian must concentrate on issues surrounding South Africa. Being a Christian nation doesn’t mean we can allow any Jim and Jack in our peaceful country.

Chipulu, Lusaka

Concourt judges and the judicial complaint authority

Editor,

Mine is just a follow up to the alleged misconduct by the ConCourt judges. We are all aware that concerned citizens petitioned the commission to look into issues surrounding the 2016 presidential petition. It seems the media is quiet. We are looking forward to hearing from the commission anytime soon.

Felix, Livingstone

A cry for help

Editor,

I registered a civil case against my former employer KCM at the Kitwe High Court in 2009 but up to date, no trial has started. Eight years down the line, the case is always assigned to different dates. Where is the justice for the poor? Where can I take my complaint to be heard because this is an infringement on my rights?

Lungu. E

The court to decide on HH

Editor,

Those pushing for UPND leader’s premature release should wait for the courts of law to decide. As much as no Zambian hates Hakainde Hichilema, it is important to wait for the law to do its work as HH does not belong to any other country but Zambia. We all love HH but his behavior over the Head of State who was legally elected and declared winner of the August general elections leaves much to be desired. HH is not above the law to go scot free for his misconduct but if the law finds him innocent, Zambians must accept and if it rules otherwise, we should do as wise.

Citizen, Lusaka

Highvie should be different from HH

Editor,

I have met Mr Hamududu once and he is definitely the opposite of HH we know, I mean the arrogant one. Mr Hamududu appears more than ready to play issue-based and mature politics. He is the kind of a leader I have always admired. Welcome aboard HH (Highvie Hamududu)

Safeli Banda

Maimane should take his nonsense to SA

Editor,

I would like, through your paper to advise the South African political leader Maimane to take his nonsense back to his country and not Zambia because our country as an independent nation like any other nation has the right to deny or accept entry to any person regardless of his or her status.

The African political leader should take his political stupidity elsewhere and not Zambia.
