By FRANK NYAMBE

A 41-YEAR-OLD woman narrated before a local court in Lusaka that she got a rude shock to find that her husband’s pubic hair was shaved after he came from work.

This is in a case in which Nyembezi Banda, 41, of Chunga compound sued her husband Godfrey Zulu, 49, a builder for reconciliation.  The two got married in 1994 and have five children.

Banda told Senior Court Magistrate Pauline Newa sitting with Magistrates Miyanda Banda and Ronnie Shyafwensha at Matero Local Court that whenever Zulu has money, he spent it on girlfriends and that recently when he came from a three-week project, she got shocked to find that his pubic hair was shaved, adding that she even learnt that he went with a girlfriend.

She explained that in 2003 Zulu impregnated her sister they kept and that when she was pregnant, she caught him red handed making love with a girlfriend.

Banda added that whenever Zulu has a tender he spent money on prostitutes and that in February 2017 he left matrimonial home and has since stopped performing in bed.

Banda further said that she no longer want to reconcile with Zulu. In defence, Zulu said that since they married, Banda has no respect for him because she also wants to be like a man in the house and would go to sleep with children after they picked a quarrel.

He explained that when he told Banda that he will marry another woman, she told him to go ahead and that it was the reason he married another woman because of misunderstandings.

‘’I paid dowry when I went with my uncle, the woman I am staying with is a wife, she is no longer a prostitute,’’ said Zulu.

Magistrate Newa said that there was lack of communication and lack of trust as Banda said that Zulu impregnated her sister and also lack of respect.

She said that Zulu was supposed to inform Banda when marrying and she ruled a failed reconciliation because Banda changed her mind and said she no longer want to reconcile.
