THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has unearthed a scam in which some fuel attendants are conniving with illegal fuel vendors to create an artificial fuel shortage in serviced areas while providing an illegal alternative market.
ERB has thus warned that it deal firmly with illegal fuel vendors and staff at some retail outlets that are conniving to cause artificial fuel shortage.
ERB Public Relations Manager, Kwali Mfuni, said there should not be panic-buying as normal supply of fuel in all parts of the country could be restored in the next two weeks.
