IT will be unwise for me to disparage the immediate former Member of Parliament for Kanchibiya Constituency Martin Malama, Kanchibiya aspiring candidate Sunday Chanda has said.
Mr Chanda said he would continue to respect Dr Malama and continue from where he left in terms of delivering development.
He said he would honour and respect the former MP for the years he had been with the people of Kanchibiya and would engage him over various projects.
Mr Chanda was speaking when he met PF district and ward officials in Kanchibiya’s Lulingila Ward at the weekend.
“It would be unfair of me to start dragging the former MP’s name in mad when I am supposed to be getting knowledge and advice from him.
“I would also not be happy to hear anyone from either the party structures in the constituency or from the public saying bad things about him because he deserves better as our former MP,” he said.
Mr Chanda also advised party structures in the constituency to uphold peace and unity as the polls were drawing close.
He said he had received reports of members creating camps depending on who they were supporting, a situation he said should not be the case.
Mr Chanda said now was the time for all party members to work together and see to it that President Edgar Lungu and the PF party at large emerged victorious come August 12.
He said there was no need for party members to hate or insult each other because they all had one person to support who was President Lungu.
At the same event, Kanchibiya Constituency Chairman Isaac Bwalya called on party members to burry any differences and campaign for President Lungu and the party as a whole.
