WEST PS OUTLINES PROJECTS

Western Province Permanent Secretary, Danny Bukali, is happy that his region has received a fair share of development since the PF Government came into power.

He said Government was implementing a number of projects in various sectors in Western province, which have changed the economic outlook of the region.

Mr Bukali said this when Ministry of National Development Planning Permanent Secretary, Trevor Kaunda, called on him at his office in Mongu.

The Permanent Secretary cited the $45 million Cashew Infrastructure Development Project, which has benefited 60,000 households in the 10 cashew hub districts.

Mr Bukali said Government was also implementing several other development projects, like the Pilot Programme on Climate Resilience, which received an additional $14.8 million in 2019.

Meanwhile, Mr Kaunda said he was happy that more development projects were being implemented in Western province.

He explained that he was in the province to familiarise himself with the projects, in order to appreciate the impact they were making in improving the quality of life of the people in the region.
