Vice President, Inonge Wina has cautioned the people on the Copperbelt not to be misled by people masquerading as economic fixers.

Ms. Wina said President Edgar Lungu’s government is able to solve the economic challenges the country is going through.

She observed that President Lungu took over the leadership of the country when the economy was almost on its knees but showed leadership and managed to revive it.

The Vice President said this yesterday upon arrival at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola where she is scheduled to inspect various developmental projects.

Ms. Wina said President Lungu has managed to save over 15000 jobs of miners who were on the verge of losing them at Mopani and Konkola Copper Mines adding that Zambia’s future is bright with the booming copper prices on the international market

Veep counsels civil servants.

Meanwhile, Ms Wina says public  service workers have a huge role to play in the development of the country through interpretation of government policies.

Speaking when she addressed Zambia Civil Servants Initiative Association,  Ms Wina said public civil workers were also expected to explain important national matters such as inflation among other issues to members of the general public.

Ms Wina said there was need for civil servants to explain Government position, policies and why certain measures are taken in the interest of the public.
