I AM a resident of Navutika Compound and I can attest to the fact that people love President Edgar Lungu but do not want the Patriotic Front adopted candidate.
For this reason I feel you should work with PF structures to ensure that the President gets maximum votes.
Please do not listen to doomsayers that independents should not campaign for the PF president. Feel very free to do so my brother. No one can and should stop you. This is a free world and Zambia is very much a democracy.
The members of the PF central committee created this problem and should bear the consequences but for you, the sign is clear. Just ensure that you and ECL are in one breath.
I am very sure that the reds are disappointed that you did not cross over. As a true patriot you have stuck to your president because you have faith in him.
We also have faith in you as the redeemer for Chipata Central. The constituency deserves to have someone who understands our problems and is ready to fight for us. We are tired of always lagging behind in development.
And we also want you sort out the issue of East Rise where people have been threatened with having their houses demolished. People have invested their life’s savings in this, please don’t let it be in vain.
