FACMAEPA PLEDGES EL SUPPORTS

The Foundation Against Child Marriages and Early Pregnancies Advocacy (FACMAEPA) has endorsed the candidature of President Edgar Lungu in the August 12 election.
And likewise , the Foundation has pledged to support Maxwell Kabanda , adopted Patriotic Front candidate for Serenje Central constituency.


ZANIS reports that FACMAEPA Director General Apostle Charles Kunda says President Lungu should be given another mandate to rule the country because of his commitment to the fight against Early Marriages and Early Pregnancies.


“ President Lungu and the First lady have helped girls by Fighting Early Marriages and Early Pregnancies,” Mr. Kunda noted.


Mr. Kunda said in a statement that FACMAEPA has scrutinized all the Presidential candidate in this year’s election and have observed that beside President Lungu, there is no one with the agenda to fight for the rights of a girl child.


President Lungu has also demonstrated that he has a heart to promote women by choosing Professor Nkandu Luo as his running late in the forthcoming election.


Mr Kunda castigated the opposition Presidential candidates in the August 12 election for allegedly not having an agenda to promote the right of a girl child.


“ We are none partisan but we believe that with what President Lungu and the PF have we will work together to end Early Marriages and Early Pregnancies which has become a cancer in our country, “ Mr. Kunda said.


The FACMAEPA Director General said people should not risk voting for leaders with selfish motives of enriching themselves at the expense of the rights of a girl child. – ZANIS
