Beware of bootlickers, chief warns HH
By OLIVER SAMBOKO
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema should be wary of bootlickers to avoid the danger of being misled into making decisions that are not in the best interest of the country, Chief Sinazongwe has advised.
He said President Hichilema and his administration should ensure they avoid falling into the trap of being shielded from reality as has been the case with the previous regime.
Chief Sinazongwe said bootlickers are a danger to the country because their only goal is to benefit from the seat of power. He said the President should ensure at all costs to avoid being surrounded by sweet talkers as this is a cancer which has destroyed many presidents before.
The traditional leader said it is surprising that some people have already started talking about the 2026 Presidential Election and endorsing the head of State, barely a few days from the last election.
He said President Hichilema is not only the President for UPND but for every Zambian regardless of their political affiliation and beliefs.
Chief Sinazongwe said the same bootlickers misled former President Edgar Lungu that everything was fine which led him to lose the August 12 presidential vote to the UPND.
Chief Sinazongwe said Zambians have high expectations and therefore the new government should ensure all the campaign promises are fulfilled so that the living standards of the population can be improved.
