I HAVE NO PROPERTY IN FOREST 27- MWIIMBU

I DO not own any piece of land in Forest 27 and I challenge all those spreading lies to carry out an investigation, says Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu.
Mr Mwiimbu said unlike media reports that his mansion was located in the reserve, he challenged people that wanted to scandalise his name to go and check their facts.
He said he had not flouted any laws and that he was a law-abiding citizen who followed the procedure.
“If indeed my house is in the Forest reserve area then law enforcement agencies should move in and demolish it because it is illegal,” he said.
Mr Mwiimbu said he was even ready to fund all those who wanted to carry out investigations just to show that he was innocent.
He however said that it was unfortunate that people were trying to scandalise his name by directly linking him to the Forest 27.
“I can’t tell you where my house is but if it means digging it out with excavators then we should go ahead and do it because they will not find it,” Mr Mwiimbu said.
Former President Edgar Lungu de-gazetted the natural reserve on August 17, 2017 and most of the land had been allocated to individuals and companies.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has however halted all development projects taking place in the area for the government to find out how plots were acquired within the reserve area.
