THE MOVE TO DESTROY CANNABIS BY DEC

CHAIPA maningi ndalama bashoka Ba DEC. But this is not the problem of DEC. It is the problem of President Bally and his ministers for three reasons:

First, they are moving at the snail’s pace to put in place the remaining few steps to legally use cannabis in a beneficial way. The main huddles of principal laws were sorted out in final days of PF Government. What remains is just bits and pieces.

Second, open air burning of cannabis defeats the purpose of creating the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment. Open air burning for whatever purposes is not an option in a government that commits to a green and clean environment. 

Third, destruction of a valuable economic resource is not an option in a green economy.

On short, the act of destruction of cannabis is proof that the Bally Government is clueless on the green agenda.
