By Chansa Kunda

Interim Chipolopolo Coach BESTON CHAMBESHI says the team is focused on concluding the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers on a good note.

CHAMBESHI says the upcoming back to back games against Mauritania and Tunisia are important as the technical bench is building a team for the future.

The Chipolopolo gaffer says despite the team playing dead rubber fixtures, winning both games will be a vital projection for future engagements.

He was speaking during the team’s training session held at the National Heroes Staduim in Lusaka today.

And CHAMBESHI said the local players who are in camp are making steady progress and putting in their best in training.

He said rest of the squad awaits the arrival of foreign based players who are expected to start trooping in today.

CHAMBESHI has further disclosed that Swedish winger EDWARD CHILUFYA has been ruled out for both encounters and replaced with Russian based Midfielder KINGS KANGWA.

He said CHILUFYA’s services will be missed but that KANGWA who is on books for Arsenal Tula is a worthy competitor and replacement.

Zambia host Mauritania at the National Heroes Staduim on November 13, 2021 before traveling to Tunisia for their last group B encounter to be played on Tuesday.
