BRACE FOR WORSE, PF TOLD

By NATION REPORTER
PATRIOTIC Front members should brace for more arrests and persecutions because President Hakainde Hichilema is a vengeful person who will stop at nothing until he fixes them, former Patriotic Front Secretary General, Davies Mwila, has said.
Mr Mwila said Mr Hichilema was a bitter person and that is why he warned his members to work extra hard to ensure they bounced back into power prior to the August 12 elections to avoid what was happening now.
“I warned my team, because the president does not have a forgiving heart and he will make sure he makes our lives extremely difficult just as we are seeing right now,” he said.
He said that they were expecting a brutal regime worse than the UNIP government which was viewed by many as an intolerant administration.
Mr Mwila however said that they would fight as long as they were not killed or harmed by the current regime.
He said they would fight as a unit if they would be alive and that they had faced similar treatment during the MMD regime and that they were ready for them.
“I know President Hakainde Hichilema is a bitter person and one who cannot forgive a person and I just want to urge my members to be strong because more persecutions are coming.”
Mr Mwila said the Head of State was the one calling the shots because of his vengeful nature and that is why they had started investigating cases dating way back to 2015.
He said Mr Hichilema would never change and that the PF members just needed to brace themselves for more trouble from the Police and other investigative wings.
Mr Mwila wondered if Mr Kampyongo was the one throwing the stones in Shiwangándu or it was just a ploy to silence him by the ruling party.
He said that the party needed to unite now more than ever because it was facing a big risk from the ruling party.
Mr Mwila said that the UPND had failed to run the economy and had resorted to harassing innocent people.
He said nothing was permanent and that power was not infinite and could end at one point or the other, so the current government needed to be very careful when dealing with political opponents.
Meanwhile PF vice president Given Lubinda said the UPND were hell bent on annihilating the former ruling party by persecuting its members.
“It is shocking because we have some senior members of the party incarcerated on flimsy grounds because they belong to the opposition,” he said.
