Just in: SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HAS RULED THAT MPS WHOSE SEATS HAVE BEEN NULLIFIED WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND TO PARLIAMENTARY BUSINESS UNTIL THEIR APPEAL CASES ARE DETERMINED BY THE CON-COURT.

Opposition PF members of Parliament this afternoon walked out of the National Assembly after speaker of the national Assembly Nelly Mutti ruled that it was not in order for MPs whose seats were recently nullified to participate in parliamentary business pending the determination of their appeal cases by the CON-COURT.

The speaker said continuing to attend parliament seatings and getting allowances by the said MPs would be unjustly enriching themselves.

The PF has had nine August parliamentary elections of its members nullified in the last few days by the High Court.

The MPs have however appealed against High Courts’ decision in the Con-Court and continued participating in parliament business until today.
