AN Epidemiologist at the Copperbelt University, Victor Daka, has cautioned the public against use of un-prescribed drugs following the looming fourth wave of the Covid-19 after the country recorded its first three cases of Omicron variant.
During the second and third wave of the covid19 pandemic, some sections of society abused drugs like Azithromycin under the pretext that it would protect them against Covid-19.
Mr Daka said taking drugs without a medical prescription is dangerous as it makes the body resistant to essential drugs when the actual disease is present.
