Ian Bakala resigns?

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

KABWE Warriors Football Club has confirmed that Coach Ian Bakala has left the club on mutual consent.

Kabwe Warriors Chairman Hayden Dingwall thanked Bakala for the services since joining the Kabwe outfit from Lusaka Dynamics in April last year.

“Today we bid farewell to coach Ian Bakala. We thank him for the contribution he made to the club,” Dingwall said.

“We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Bakala’s exit at Warriors follows rumors that the club plans to announce former Zanaco head coach Chris Kaunda as the new Warriors head coach.

Bakala was first engaged as an assistant to Levy Chabala before he took over as head coach after the exit of Chabala and managed to qualify Warriors for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Bakala leaves Warriors on tenth position with 23 points from seven wins, two draws and eight defeats.
