Graveyard happenings! Ndola man arrested for graveyard trespassing

A Thirty-One year old man of Kantolomba compound in Ndola has been arrested for criminal trespass after he trespassed on Kantolomba cemetery and stole grave signs of six people

Kelvin Mvula aged 26 of house number 2921 Kabushi Township in Ndola reported that Aaron Phiri aged 31 of KB Kantolomba township stole a grave sign of his late brother Julius Maini after trespassing  on Kantolomba cemetery.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Sharon Cheelo Zulu confirmed the incident and said the complainant went to clean his brother’s grave when he saw a man with a sack who was in the company of two others who ran away.

Ms Zulu said upon apprehending Phiri, he checked the sack and saw his brother’s grave sign  and with other five grave signs of different people

Phiri aged 31 of KB 10 Kantolomba Compound Ndola stole a metal grave sign for his late brother Julius Maini.

“On 03/07/22 around 15:00hrs the complainant went to Kantolomba Cemetery to go and clean his brother’s grave and as he was going he saw a man with a sack who was in the company of two (2) others who ran away and upon apprehending, he checked in the sack and saw his brother’s grave sign with five (5) other grave signs for different people” Ms Zulu said

 Docket of case opened and arrest made.
