In a world where employment opportunities are becoming limited and competitive for young people, creativity becomes a survival motive for one to find their own means to earn a living. This calls for one to depend on God’s given unique talent and skill to create self-employment.
Such is the motivation that drove 23-year-old Danny Chilambwe to establish Luxury Photography Zambia.
This youthful enterprise has become one of the biggest offerings in the entertainment and corporate world with a client profile ranging from local acts like Mutale Mwanza, Slapdee, Macky2, Cleo Ice Queen to international stars like Nasty C, Connie Furgerson, Casper Nyovest and corporate entities to name only a few.

Following his success, Chilambwe famously known in the industry as Malinso, insists that there is more young people can do out there to create their own employment. He proudly shares that everyone needs to start small.
“I started with a simple Android phone on an App called Pics Art in 2014, that was commonly used by teenagers to beautify and edit pictures. This phone application helped me to practice my art and later I raised some funds and bought a 1998 digital old camera with a pc and upgraded to a software called Photoshop at the time,” he said in explaining his journey to Luxury Photography.
“I improved my work so much that people started requesting that I should start charging for my service since it was for passion not knowing the love and time, I dedicated in photography would lead to a business.”
Danny’s love for photography and art has made him a crafting niche for the Luxury brand in the creative industry since the age of 16. This explains his stage name, ‘Malinso the lense of an eye (Malinso uwelinso)’.
For this, Luxury Photography has been widely recognized for bringing a youthful and celebrity luxurious feel to the creative industry.
“The brand has worked with, MTN, Zamtel, Betwinner,Nexus Music, Zambian Breweries, Pick N Pay, Corner Cafe, Oasis Pools, Yami Beans, Portia M ,John Walker and other recognized brands We have also worked with notable personalities,” Chilambwe boasts as he encourages young people to discover their passion and work hard to create their own means of income.
