Higher Education Authority (HEA) Director-General Kazhila Chinsembu says the institution will ensure that universities are focused on their core business.
“We shall ensure that the university remains a physical and cerebral space free of party politicking and power relations,” Professor Chinsembu said. During the engagement meeting with vice-chancellors of public universities at Lusaka’s Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka last week, Prof. Chinsembu said university autonomy and accountability may not be mutually exclusive.
