Govt causing corruption

Editor,

From my observation, it’s the Government that is causing corruption in certain institutions especially the police traffic section. Honestly speaking, how can someone pay K450 for not wearing a seat belt, K300 for a blown up bulb, K900 for an unlicensed vehicle? For the rich foreigners, these figures are a drop in the ocean but for the poor Zambians who survive on two dollars a day is a lot of money. I would rather pay a K50 or K70 so that I continue moving. The solution is that the Government should come up with minimal fees where even an officer will refuse to accept as a bribe instead, he or she should be the one to tell you to go and pay on their own.

 MMD members in PF  government

Editor,

In our African culture, we give respect to elders. Why are you insulting the founder members of PF? I beg you to stop this culture of insults. Kindly start consolidating your broken party MMD.

How special are they?

Editor,

I would like to call on the relevant authorities to remove all those non-roadworthy vehicles parked at police stations. They have no road tax fitness and insurance, worn out tyres etc. but they are allowed to operate in the eyes of the police charging exorbitant prices and contributing nothing to Government. Meanwhile, a pirate taxi which at least has road tax insurance and fitness is threatened with removal from operating while these vehicles are left scot free.

Detractors calling Zambia a  dictatorship

Editor,

The prophet will not overrun the truth that Zambia is a country of laws and not men. The detractors calling Zambia a dictatorship are crooks and have something wrong with their thinking capacity which needs to be checked by psychiatrists for they are seeing and imagining their iniquities. Just yesterday, they claimed that the IMF team leader to Zambia was corrupt whilst not. These are detractors whose aim is to disturb the smooth running of Government. The governance system is totally intact. This is the work of the cartel.

Never take Zambians for granted

 ————————————–

Editor,

The past two weeks have been rough for Archbishop Tresphore Mpundu and Reverend Susan Matale. Now that the dust has settled, I will only say that please, never take Zambians for granted and that whatever you say on the governance of this country will be acceptable by the wider society. It’s a lesson learnt because your credibility was in tatters and it will take a while to patch it up.

Wake up call to fellow Zambians

Editor,

I would like to urge my fellow Zambians to change our mentality and start working towards creating a better Zambians. We should not assume that people from other countries will come and stabilize our economy or create a better and cleaner environment for us. Let us stop whining and always complaining that the Government should do something about our current situations and start to make a change.

Christianity not just a tag to  carry around

Editor,

Christianity should not just be about appearances. It should go beyond just wanting to be affiliated to Jesus but a deeper yearning to be intertwined with it. You see when Christ formed the church, he knew of its imperfections but still decided to adorn it with his mercy and wash it clean. So, instead of trying to impress your friends with the tag you carry around of being a Christian. How about you actually start to live like one.
