I will not be detracted by machinations that have been set in motion by the UPND to discredit me politically, former Democratic Party president Harry Kalaba, has said.
Mr Kalaba said that he was not fazed by the various malicious campaigns that had arisen meant to tarnish his image.
He said not even rape accusations could stop the fire that was brewing inside as his main focus was just to forge ahead.
“As you are aware there are a number of issues that have been raised but one thing I will tell is that not even rape accusations, corruption accusations and other machinations meant to tarnish my image are going to work,” he said.
Mr Kalaba said that he was aware that there was a plot by the UPND using surrogates to plot his downfall.
He however said he was equal to the task and that all those that were plotting his downfall would not succeed.
“What I can tell you is that my detractors are working closely with the UPND and their aim is to see me fail but what I can tell you is that it will not work,” he said.
Mr Kalaba said his sights were set on forming his own political party and that the reason people were fighting so hard was because they knew he was a threat.
