DJ Virus lauds online parties amid Covid-19

BRIGHTON Mumba aka DJ Virus a budding DJ with an aim of adding a corporate touch to his trade has praised the initiative by entertainers and DJs in Zambia to host online parties and music mix sessions as a way of entertaining people during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mumba who also has a special jam session on Komboni Radio says as people are encouraged to stay home and stop the spread of the Coronavirus, it is important to keep them entertained and informed on the dangers of the virus.
“I commend all DJs and artistes that are hosting shows on social media. Shows that are entertaining and helping people to stay home,” he says.
“I however wish to encourage my colleagues to include messages that will constantly remind people to follow the guidelines to fight Covid-19. This fight is for all of us.”
Born on the 17th of October in Ndola on the Copperbelt, DJ Virus is keen to show that a DJ can be very responsible and committed to the needs of society. He loves the balance of Deejaying and education.
He completed High School from Chiwala Tech Sec School and graduated as an Electrical Technologist from LTBC under The Copperbelt University.
Opening an ear to various good music and the need to be part of the entertainment industry was when Virus decided to venture into music through as a DJ. Through inspiration by different acts all over the world, Virus has been baking his skills to perfection.
After learning the art, in 2014, Virus started his professional journey polishing his skills towards his dream, playing around venues and events some of which he organized with partners at different events and festivals exceeding the expectations of the crowd.
With the vision to go worldwide, Virus says he works extra hard towards skill perfection and brand growth through experience and inspirations.
To date, through consistency, Virus has performed for an audience of 12,000+ people, shared a stage with Zambia’s acts and artistes Including international acts Like Cassper Nyovest, Sauti Sol, Caitlin De Ville and so on.
His performances are known for hype and sing along DJ sets taking the audience to a different level of hype. Currently, he has a new single Entitled “Kasusule” (Lose It) which features Bow Chase, May C, Chuzhe Int and Dope Boyz and looks forward to doing more music to be released in future.
Virus encourages Zambians to take the Covid-19 social distancing seriously.
“In the days we are living in now if you are not infected then you are affected so stay indoors and do as advised to protect ourselves and our loved ones in these hard times,” Virus advises.
