Neria’s donates K250,000 medical supplies to Eastern province Covid-19 fight

AGRO-COMMODITY trading company Neria’s Investments Limited has donated medical supplies worth K250, 000 to Eastern Province to help in the fight against Covid-19.
The medical supplies which included 150 sets of hand wash, 60 boxes of hygiene soap, 60 by 2.5 liters of hand sanitisers, 150 by one liter spray containers and 2, 500 face masks were shared among the 14 districts in the Province.
Neria’s Investments general manager, Martin Chaikatisha who presented the items to the provincial minister Makebi Zulu and witnessed by District Commissioners yesterday in Chipata, said the objective was to ensure the farmers’ health was safe-guarded by providing the necessary supplies in combating of the pandemic. “Eastern Province is rated as the highest producer of major crops in Zambia and apart from providing inputs to our farmers early, we feel it is prudent to us to help them fight the deadly coronavirus,” Mr Chaikatisha said.
He also called on the other players in the private sector to join forces with the government in the fight against the deadly pandemic.
Mr Zulu, commended Neria’s Investments for the solidarity support towards the fight against coronavirus.
And representative of the DCs, Chadiza DC George Phiri, thanked the company for the donation saying it would go a long way in helping people in remote areas prevent the spread of the virus.

Provincial health director Gideon Zulu called on the people to adhere to preventative measures set at all times. Zambia has recorded 40 cases which includes two deaths.
