A MAN identified as Abednigo Katuta of Lusaka was yesterday left howling in agony and pain after unknown people cut off his genitals.
The victim was brutally attacked at Lusaka’s Misisi Fly over bridge along Kafue Road in the early hours of yesterday before being left for dead in a pool of blood.
People who found him lying in a pool of blood with missing genitals informed the police who took him to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
Confirming the incident, UTH public relations officer, Natalie Mashikolo said the victim was currently admitted and nursing wounds.
“He is admitted in University Teaching Hospitals and nursing wounds that were inflicted on him after he had his testicles and penis chopped off by unknown people in the early hours of yesterday,” Ms Mashikolo said.
She explained that the man was brought to UTH in a semi-conscious state by the police after being informed by the public that there was a man lying in a pool of blood under the flyover bridge.
Ms Mashikolo said the victim was attended to in the accident and emergency Unit. She however said he was in stable condition and responding well to treatment.
