Noise in simplicity is uncoordinated sound

Dear Editor,
It is now very apparent that there are many churches that conduct overnight prayers with loud music in none sound proof buildings or churches much to the annoyance of residents.
Could church members and stakeholders come up with innovations of making most of these churches that conduct night prayers with loud music erect and design worshiping buildings or churches to curtail the loud and disturbing music at night.
Zambia is rightly a Christian nation but that should not be abused to disturb others who need to sleep in the night.
It may be argued that that is not noise but as long as it is disturbing to someone’s sleep, it qualifies as noise.
Much as we worship God, let us also be alive to our surrounding areas and accord our neighbours the much needed peace.
Others may even be pupils or/and students alike, studying in the night and could be failing to do so because of the noise being permitted.
I, therefore, urge councils countrywide to regulate this much talked activity by some churches.
