LUNGU UNVEILS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN TEAM

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has unveiled the  Patriotic Front campaign team headed by national chairman Samuel Mukupa as the national campaign manager while former Justice Minister Given Lubinda has been appointed campaign manager for the vice presidential team.

President Lungu who unveiled the teams during the launch of the PF National campaign in Lusaka yesterday, said the national campaign team comprises   teams with Jean Kapata leading team B.

President  Lungu said  team A will be managed by PF National Chairperson, Samuel Mukupa, who has been maintained as presidential campaign manager,  while former Justice Minister, Given Lubinda is Vice-Presidential Campaign Manager.

The National Campaign team B, will be headed by former Lands Minister, Jean Kapata who has been chosen as Campaign Manager.

President Lungu said team B   includes Vice President Inonge Wina and presidential running mate Nkandu Luo.

Meanwhile, the President also unveiled provincial presidential coordinators and vice presidential coordinators in all the ten provinces of the country. Former Chipangali MP, Vincent Mwale is the Eastern province presidential campaign coordinator to be deputized by Mr  Charles Banda, the former Local Government minister.

In Northern Province, Mr Geoffrey Mwamba is the presidential campaign coordinator, deputised by former Finance minister, Bwalya Ng’andu. Dr Jestone Mulando is the Central province presidential campaign coordinatordeputised by is Ambassador Elijah Chisanga. Others appointed include  Mwimba Malama to lead  Muchinga Province with  Malozo Sichone as Vice Presidential Coordinator.

Former Finance Minister, Katele Kalumba, is the Luapula Province Presidential Campaign Coordinator, deputised by Wright Mwitwa.

The President also announced Mr Frank Ng’ambi as lead, deputized by Mr Mbachi Nkwazi as Copperbelt Presidential Campaign Coordinators.

In Lusaka Province, former Defence minister Davis Chama has taken charge with  Mumbi Phiri is the deputy.

In Souther Province, Syacheye Madyenkuku is   Presidential Campaign Coordinator and Kebby Mbewe the deputy. For North Western Province, Kabinga Pande is the Presidential Coordinator and  Kutemba Konga deputy while in  Western Province, Captain Lyambela Lyambela is the Presidential Campaign Coordinator while the Vice Presidential campaign coordinator is General Peter Kazhila.

President Lungu said  he has high expectations from the teams that have been selected.

“I expect these men and women to be hard working patriots who will work night and day to stir us to victory in close partnership with our structures,” Mr Lungu says.
