Dear Editor,

AS the youth movement takes its course in Zambia, we also need to pursue the economic kingdom towards the positive lines in an effort to better the lives of our people come August 12.

We need to grow the confidence of our local Zambian investors and we should work to make sure that the local content policy strategy comes to be a “reality talk show” by building the local fundamental base and concepts for our industries so that we stimulate local productions with the essence of reducing our import bill especially for those unnecessary imports which we are equally capable of producing in this country.

We should also be firm, resilient and strong in changing the score with a proper understanding mindset shifting it to the realities of hard work, not just mere talk for us to change this nation.

As youths of Zambia, once you are given any such an opportunity as MP or perhaps ministerial position this year, train yourselves and refrain from multi-practice tendencies and don’t use power and money to intoxicate yourself to swim above the law.

Today’s young people should heavily invest and should take serious time to learn leadership styles, move away from all those bad vices and provide quality leadership without compromising or suppressing anyone based on given authoritative power and learn to accept criticism for the democracy to flow and grow its moral value.

The young generation today should stop waiting or wasting time to get old at the 11th hour and retired from professional life circles to come into politics after both their energies and personal stamina are fully utilised elsewhere.

Be a lover of your nation, go into politics not to eat or fill up your stomach instead go there to serve the plight of this nation from bad governance, misconduct and corruption tendencies.

Youths in Zambia constitute the majority number which is a good substantive demographic dividend and this is the most productive class in the nation and across the entire world, economies run on a youthful energy.
