Well done, Mweetwa extols peaceful PF supporters

By NATION REPORTER

The UPND  has commended the PF for conducting a peaceful solidarity procession when former first lady Esther Lungu appeared before Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) for questioning for being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Party spokesperson, Cornelius Mweetwa said it was pleasing to see that the opposition heeded the call to end violence.

Mr Mweetwa said it was gratifying to see that the cadres did not cause mayhem as anticipated but behaved in a rather mature manner which should be commended.

He said that this was an indication that the country was on a positive trajectory unlike what was happening in the past.

Mr Mweetwa said that the cadres behaved in a sober way which could also be attributed to the good governance that has been put in place by the UPND.
