CONVICTED former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Charity Masambo Katanga has insisted that the court grants her bail pending appeal before the Lusaka High Court because her case has higher prospects of succeeding.
Katanga was convicted and jailed to three years simple imprisonment for possession of 10 Higer buses proven to being proceeds of crime.
In reply to notice of opposition by the State, Katanga argued that her advocates have not yet received the typed copy of the judgement and fears that is likely to delay transmission of the record of appeal. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
