UKA members strategise to strengthen alliance


THE United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) leaders yesterday met to plan on the need to strengthen the alliance.

In a joint statement, Golden Party President Jackson Silavwe and National Democratic Congress President Saboi Imboela said the alliance was expected to begin meetings and consultations with democratic stakeholders such as civil society, the Church and trade unions.

They said the alliance also considered activities such as the setting up of the alliance functional secretariat and technical committees with members drawn from political parties.
