Eagle mealie meal pricing an attempt to introduce price controls, Parley hears

PARLIEMENT on Wednesday heard that the introduction of the Zambia National Service (ZNS) Eagle Milling mealie meal price controls is an attempt by the UPND government to convert the country into a commandist economy.
Mulenga Fube, the Patriotic Front (PF) Chilubi Member of Parliament told Parliament that Government was intending to revise the law of the free market economy by introducing price controls particularly the pricing of the Eagle mealie meal which was offending the law of liberalisation.
