THE Egyptian, Michael Adel Michel Botros, who is opposing the forfeiture of his US$5.6 million and other properties seized in the gold and cash scandal is shocked by the State’s fear to have Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) assistant commissioner Martin Chitamba cross examined.
The State is arguing that the affidavit in support of the notice of motion for an order to forfeit to the state the properties found in the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport gold scandal last August, has sufficient evidence, thus, there was no need of quizzing the deponent (Mr Chitamba).
