A renowned lawyer Celestine Mukandila has argued that the sale of 51 percent in Mopani Copper Mine is unconstitutional and must be reversed.
Mr Mukandila said the acquisition of the stake in Mopani from ZCCM-IH by International Resource Holding (IRH) is unconstitutional because it operated on an illegal shareholder approval which ought to have been a condition precedent for the closing or completion of the transaction hence making it a nullity.
