Vedanta financially sound to run KCM – Banda 


THE Advocates for National Development and Democracy (ANDD) has allayed fears that Vedanta Resources has no financial muscle to run Konkola Copper Mines (KCM).

ANDD executive director Samuel Banda said the delay by the investor to take up operations at the giant mine was due to the prolonged transition process.

Mr Banda said they were confident that Vedanta would do a good job at KCM once the transition process was concluded. “We are keenly following the misinformation going around regarding the continued delay for Vedanta to take full control of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM).
