Zambia faces fifa suspension

FIFA has warned of possible sanctions in line with the FIFA Statutes if the Zambian government continues to interfere with the governance of football in the country.

FIFA has directed FAZ to disregard the ex parte order from the Ndola High Court and go ahead with its annual general meeting scheduled for today at Government Complex in Lusaka.

In a letter dated April 26, 2024 and signed by Chief Member Associations Officer Kenny Jean-Marie, FIFA described the actions from the Ndola High Court as third-party interference.

FIFA warned that further attempt by a third party to prevent the FAZ annual general meeting from taking place might be considered a violation of Article 19 paragraph 1 of the FIFA Statutes and Article 7 paragraph 1.g. of the CAF Statutes CLICK TO READ MORE
