ZNS Commander Solochi challenged over safety of Eagle mealie meal

…after government announced that the security wing was being used to import GMO mealie meal on behalf of DRC

MWENYA Musenge has challenged Zambia National Service (ZNS) Commander lieutenant-General Patrick Solochi to state and assure Zambians that the quality of the Eagle mealie meal which Zambians are scrambling for has not been compromised following government’s announcement that the security wing is being used to import Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) mealie meal on behalf of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). 

And Mr Musenge, the leader of Advocates for People’s Prosperity, has also challenged government to consider giving the same incentives the ZNS Eagle Milling Company is enjoying to private milling companies if the prices of mealie meal are to be stabilised and end the shortage of the commodity which is causing long queues for the staple food.
