INSPECTOR General of Police Graphael Musamba has claimed that former President Edgar Lungu is entitled to State protection and that is why his movements are being monitored.
In May, 2023, the State moved to withdraw former President Lungu’s security and his retirement benefits after he announced his return to active politics but now Mr Musamba, Zambia’s top cop is claiming the former head of State is entitled to State security.
In a statement yesterday, Mr Musamba said police were monitoring former President Lungu’s movements strictly for his own safety.
