THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has lambasted government for the unlawful conduct and continued abuse of the Public Order Act (POA) by State police it says has the potential to roll back the democratic gains the country has so far achieved.
Lungisani Zulu, the LAZ president has called on Jack Mwiimbu, the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security to immediately reign in the Zambia Police and curtail the continued abuse of citizens’ rights and liberties of individuals.
