THE Tourism Council of Zambia has protested the closure of one of Zambia’s tourism airport, the Mfuwe International Airport, complaining that the sudden closure of the airport shall have immense negative impact on the tourism sector.
The Zambia Airports Corporation yesterday announced the temporary closure of the Mfuwe International Airport for three months.
But Yusuf Zumla, the Tourism Council of Zambia chairman says the country is just at the onset of the tourism season and shocked that government has decided to close the Mfuwe Airport at a time when the tourism sector was recording significant increase in international travelers after recovering from the Covid shutdown CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
