A 32-year-old man of Lusaka was yesterday shot dead by unknown criminals.
Police spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga said Mr Chama Mwango, 32 of Mtendere East was shot in the early hours of yesterday.
Mr. Hamoonga said in a statement that Mr. Mwango sustained a gun wound in the head and his body was found facing upwards in a pool of blood.
‘’ Police in Lusaka picked up a dead body for male Chama Mwango aged 32 of house number C731 Mtendere East who was shot by unknown criminals on 21st February, 2022 between 03:00 and 06:30 hours.
He said two AK47 empty cartridges and a projector were found on the crime scene after police conducted a search.
Mr. Hamoonga said the body has been deposited in the University Teaching Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
Neighbours told Millennium TV that the victim was lured outside when someone knocked on his door and he came out and he stood by the roadside where he was shot dead.
