Jay Trigga dreaming big

BUDDING artiste Jay Trigga dreams of creating music that will last the test of time. Jay Trigga real name Jack Lumbeta Kafukwila, a talented Zambian artiste and music producer who seems keen to combine education and music, says music is a big tool of communication which must stay relevant always.
Trigga, who got his stage name from his friend in high school because he claimed to have seen Trigga’s music as a gun and himself as a trigger, says he believes in music that is meant to inspire fans and fellow artistes.
Trigga began his music career in 2015 as a producer then later in 2018, he dropped his first songs drawing major inspiration from international acts like Kanye West who was also a producer-turned into an artiste.
Trigga says he also got inspired by Nasty C because he started his music at a young age.
Other artistes that inspire him are Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Jay Trigga has done songs like “Make em dance,” “Varnish” and “Shorty” just to mention a few.
His very first music video played on MTV Base in 2019 and he also got awarded by the Zambian Embassy in China for his contribution to the music industry.
Trigga has worked with international acts like Ice Prince and Dremodrizzy and also local big acts like Bombshell, Yung Verbal, Muko among others.
Aside from music he has a degree in Petroleum engineering from Liaoing Shihua University and does various businesses. In addition, he intends to do a Masters in Business Management.
